TAMONIC-MR
is administered orally. It should be administered approximately 30 minutes
following the same meal each day.
For the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic
hyperplasia (BPH):
Oral dosage:
Adults: The recommended dosage is 0.4 mg PO once daily. In
patients who fail to respond to this dose after 2-4 weeks of therapy, the dose
can be increased to 0.8 mg PO once daily. If several consecutive days of no
therapy elapse at either the 0.4 mg or the 0.8 mg dose, therapy should resume at
the 0.4 mg/day dosage.
Patients with renal impairment:
No dosage adjustments are needed.
